So! What do we need to look out for then?
Just before we take a look at this topic – a note for any of you who have just joined our mailing list…. Many thanks and I hope you like what we send out approximately once a week give or take a day or three! There is a series of 7 newsletters that come out over the first 20+ days after you have joined us. These separate newsletters are topics that come up over time that we think you may find of interest. Thank you
Back to the Nutrition Thieves!
We need to just take a moment to take a stock of lifestyle we tend to be involved with to see what threats to our Nutritional Bank Balance might be.
A while ago I mentioned the fact that there are around 75-100,000 chemicals in common use these days; a list that is likely to grow in size. I also gave a link to a list of just a few that you are bound to find in personal care and household products around your house and general environment.
Every one of us is affected by chemicals as we sleep and in our waking hours – it cannot really be avoided nowadays. To assume this has no impact on health would be naïve to say the least.
Since the Second World War the increase in chemicals being used has been enormous. Most of these thousands of chemicals are not adequately tested and I read that complete data is only available on around 2% of the total.
Personal care products – those things we use every day on our bodies are known to have 880+known toxic ingredients. You may well ask why that is! Yes you may well ask! Cheap to use in manufacture is probably the main reason.
It really makes you wonder if Personal Care is a bit of a misnomer! That is saying nothing about the household cleaning products….There is a link below for a list of just some of the chemicals included in our household and personal care products. I suspect we need to shop wisely and help our health.
If, as they say, you are ‘Worth It’ – why even USE these chemicals on your skin and hair?
Our homes should be a safe haven. The opposite is likely to be the case. Parents try to do the best they can for their youngsters. Newly painted nurseries and bedrooms, new carpet and foam mattresses – these can all give off a potentially harmful chemical “gas”.
Our obsession with cleanliness brings in the chlorine based anti-bacterial chemicals; add in the personal ‘care’ products and the chemical load just grows.
We probably have No Idea of the real chemical toxin load we hold; maybe a headache from a particular smell would be a clue – if we really knew and understood the situation.
Suppose this chemical load is allowed to be there and the Nutritional Bank Balance was to drop, or a stress crisis event were to occur? Then chemical sensitivity becomes a reality with a lot of people.
Our bodies need proper nutrients to eliminate and combat these chemical onslaughts. BUT, the sad truth is that the very food we need to combat the chemical load is often packed with chemical ingredients
I read recently that over 100 chemicals added to food in Australia are claimed to be carcinogenic, mutagenic, or teratogenic (affecting the foetus). [ref: Taubert, P.M. Your Health & Food Additives, Comp Safe Consultancy, South Australia, 2000]
Chemical stress again will also place a huge load on our bodies’ nutritional status.
Quote from Dr Mark Donahoe in interview a while ago
We fill our lives with a total chemical mixture, each of which does not dramatically damage our health, but the sum total of which does affect our health. We are responsible for that within our environment. What we do in our homes, schools and workplaces has an enormous impact on our health. All of these environments are under our control is we put our minds to it.
Our need for proper nutrition is greater than ever. Where can we get this?
The usual answer would be that you can get all the nutrition you need from the 4 food groups.
SO – why is it now said that one of the biggest causes of illness is that we are all told we get everything we need from our 4 food groups?
We NEED to take control for ourselves and make sure we get what we need from different sources – you’ve all had the email sent regarding how bad the soil fertility and condition is…. If not click here to see Our World Environment as a blog post.
This is fact and I can only see it getting worse unless a major turn round in society and world agriculture was to actually be considered and there are too many vested interests to allow that to happen! (I can also say that when I learnt this – it was a “bit of a surprise” for someone who used to be in the farming business!)
SO – where do we find the nutritional help we need?
You DO have a great place to look now and it is right on this link to Simply Naturals, the Sizzling Minerals. If I didn’t believe in these things big time I would NOT even have bothered to set up this mailing list, believe me!
We have heard huge testimonials and experienced benefits ourselves. We have also started a new Testimonials area on the Healthy Homes Club site – right here.
Take a moment, if you are looking to stay well and fit into greater age, to see the Testimonials on the Simply Naturals Site and take a trial for 3+ months and see how they work for you….
What else can you buy for 80p a day that has such potential for help with good health? Hmm! I wonder if THAT is a topic for another newsletter! Could be!
Bye for now
